SUMMARY:Juneteenth Parade 2026
DESCRIPTION:Please join the MTEA in celebrating Juneteenth by participating in the 55th Annual Jubilee Juneteenth Parade! It will take place on Friday\, June 19th. \nLINE-UP \nThe Juneteenth Jubilee Parade assembles on West Atkinson Avenue between 8th Street and 18th Street. MTEA members will meet on the South corner of 16th St. and Atkinson. Arrive between 8:00- 8:30 am. Parade starts promptly at 9:00 am.  Click here to register to walk with MTEA in the parade. \nTHE ROUTE \nFrom 8th Street\, the Parade marches southeast on Atkinson Avenue to the 5 Points Intersection\, then south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive\, and ends at the intersection of Dr. MLK Jr. Drive and Burleigh Street. To exit the parade\, head EAST on Burleigh St. to Holton St. \nSHUTTLE SERVICE \nThis year\, a shuttle school bus courtesy of transportation partners will be available to transport parade participants back to the line-up area. It will pick up at 1st & Burleigh St. (in front of St. Marcus School)\, drop off on Atkinson Avenue near the parade line-up area\, and\, on request\, make occasional stops. Check with parade volunteers at the end of the route for details. \n
