Join the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association’s SMART Team (Support Mentor Attract Retain Teachers) for an engaging\, hands-on resource session. \nFocus: Infinite Campus Grade Book Basics \nWhether you’re brand new to Infinite Campus or looking to sharpen your skills\, this session will walk you through: \n*Accessing standards *Creating assignments *Entering grades Running reports *Tips and tricks to make the grade book easier to use \nBring your laptop for guided work time after the presentation. \nGet one-on-one support. \nInformal Q&A Sessions \nWe’ll also offer opportunities for questions before the Infinite Campus presentation\, and again during dinner following the IC session on these topics: *Early Childhood *Special Education *AMP *Bilingual K–5 *High School World Languages \nBring a Colleague! \nEarly Career Teachers are encouraged to invite another ECT and/or bring a veteran teacher from your building who has IC questions. \nNot an MTEA member? SUMMARY:MTEA National Board Cohort
DESCRIPTION:2025-2026 National Board Candidate Support\nNational Board certification is the highest level of certification a teacher can attain\, with personal\, professional\, and monetary rewards.  This cohort will meet monthly to explore various components of the certification process and provide support for MTEA and area WEAC candidates.  Each session will generally begin with a presentation sharing tips and strategies for tackling the required components for certification (~1hr)\, followed by time for candidate Q&A and opportunities to work with other members of the cohort as well as with trained mentors. \nAll sessions except the WEAC Writing Retreat are held at the MTEA Building from 5-7pm.  Please register below for as many sessions as you want to attend. \nSeptember 25\, 2025 – What is National Board Certification?  \nLearn about what is involved in this rigorous process and what resources and financial incentives are available to assist candidates. \nOctober 22\, 2025 – Getting Started with National Board Certification \nDive into the National Board standards\, the Architecture of Accomplished Teaching\, and the 5 Core propositions of National Board certification. As the school year winds down\, this is the perfect chance to get clear on everything you need to complete in Educator Effectiveness to successfully close out your year. \nThis will be a hands-on working session\, so please bring your laptop and be ready to log in and start completing your end-of-year EE tasks during the session. Danah will walk you through the process\, answer questions\, and help make sure you leave feeling confident and on track. \nNot a member?
